Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world (after Chinese and English), and it's the world's second language (after Chinese) only counting native speakers.
Aproximately 75 million people speak French as their native language. French is the official language of France and its overseas territories as well as Bénin; Burkina Faso, etc.
German is the official language in seven countries as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, as well as parts of Italy and Belgium, German is the most widely spoken native language in the EU.
Italian is the official language of Italy and is spoken by about 70 million people, primarily in this country.
Spanish and Portuguese are very similar, but Portuguese is not a Spanish dialect. It’s spoken in many countries including Portugal and Brazil where is spoken as first language.
