University courses at Brookstone College of Business

Ashmore Business College and Asheboro Business College. Ashmore Business College was the first nationally accredited business college in North
Carolina, while Asheboro Business College was the first junior college of business in North Carolina licensed to award degrees. In 1984, these two
schools were combined and relocated to the Greensboro/High Point area. The new institution became Brookstone College of Business, and the programs of
study were shortened to certificate and diploma programs to facilitate quicker entry for graduates into the job market. A campus in Charlotte, North Carolina, was opened in 1987.
