A young, vibrant university, California State University, San Bernardino is the sole public comprehensive university serving the San Bernardino and Riverside counties of Southern California.

Founded in 1965, its mission is to provide quality higher education and leadership to promote social, cultural and economic progress in the community and region. Enrollment annually tops 16,000 and is on pace to reach more than 20,000 by 2010.

Located equidistant between Los Angeles and Palm Springs in the heart of Southern California, the campus serves the rapidly expanding Inland Empire, an area encompassing more than 27,000 square miles - a territory larger than 10 states.
