University courses at Compton Community College

Compton Community College Compton Community College was established in 1927 as a component of the Compton Union High School District. In 1933 the campus was devastated by a major earthquake which struck the region, leaving two buildings standing. Fortunately, no one on campus was killed.

On August 23, 2006, the Compton Community Educational Center officially became part of El Camino College with Dr. Doris P. Givens serving as the Provost/CEO.

The Mission of College is to meet the educational needs of its diverse community and ensure student success by offering quality, comprehensive educational opportunities.
