The Natchez campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College was founded in 1972. During its early years, the Natchez Campus was housed in a variety of facilities, mostly former schools in Adams County. In 1989, the Natchez campus vocational-technical center moved into a new facility off Lt. Col. John Pitchford Parkway (then called Beltline Highway). The academic programs remained in temporary quarters until 1996, when a new academic/administration center was opened behind the existing vocational-technical center. In June 1999, the Redd/Watkins Career and Technical Education Center and the Tom Reed Academic Center were dedicated. The Natchez campus has a rich history of community involvement, with its students and staff participating in a wide range of civic activities. The campus takes pride in being a place where community groups and leaders frequently meet.
