University courses at Edmonds Community College

Edmonds Community College More than 11,000 students take courses for credit toward a certificate or degree at Edmonds Community College. Over 43 percent of these students plan to transfer to a four-year college or university; over 31 percent work toward career program degrees; about 3 percent are undecided; and other take courses for enrichment, for workplace skills, and for GED, basic skills, and family education. More than 62 percent of students in credit courses are part-time students who combine college with work and with family.

The student body includes students from 45 other countries, but nearly 90 percent of students live within eight miles of the campus.

Our campus is a lively place with students from a broad range of backgrounds, races, religions and points of view. Over half of the students are women and the average age is about 29. But students in a class might range from 16- to 18-year-old Running Start students to people who are returning to school for a career change or to update job skills.
