Midland College was established as an independent junior college in 1972 and held its first classes on campus in 1975. Since that time, the campus, often recognized as one of the most beautiful in the nation, has expanded to a 411,000-square-foot main campus across 224 acres in the heart of Midland, Texas - a county seat of over 100,000 people.
