Schiller International University was founded in 1964 as Schiller College by Dr. Walter Leibrecht in Kleiningersheim Castle, overlooking the Neckar River, in Southern Germany. Dr. Leibrecht established a traditional American Study Abroad program in Germany with English as the language of instruction.
