University courses at University of Maine at Farmington

University of Maine at Farmington Established in 1864 as Maine's first public institution of higher education, the University of Maine at Farmington is Maine’s selective public liberal arts college, offering quality programs in teacher education, human services and arts and sciences.

Think of Farmington as the state-supported version of a residential, private liberal arts college. With enrollment limited to just 2,000 students, we’re about the same size as many of New England's most selective private colleges and offer many of the same advantages, yet at a more affordable price. UMF is a founding member of COPLAC, an exclusive national group of 24 public colleges and universities committed to providing superior liberal arts and sciences education.
