Welcome to the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Founded in 1963 and one of four campuses in the University of Missouri System, UMSL has a rich tradition of fostering student learning through excellent teaching.

The action plan approved by the faculty in spring 2004 is a guide that will be updated continually as we achieve certain goals or alter goals because of changing economic or social conditions. In addition to the faculty, the development of this plan involved staff and students on campus, UM Board of Curators, UM president and administration, and university supporters throughout the greater Saint Louis community.
