American Cancer Society:
- Offer college scholarships for pediatric cancer survivors.
- Restricted to US students that served to the division.
- Details could vary between divisions.
- Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 per year.
Jeff Apodaca Celebration of Life Scholarship:
- For pediatric cancer survivors.
- Those who were treated at one of the UNM Hospitals.
- - Just be attending to a New Mexico college or university.
Cancer Survivors Fund:
- Offered for cancer survivors or currently diagnosed with cancer.
- Must be residents of the United States.
- The awards are based on hardship and academic qualifications.
Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation:
- Scholarships for families affected by brain tumors, including the patient, survivor, or immediate relative.
- The grant is based on financial need, with special consideration to members of the tennis community.
- Awards a maximum of $25,000 annually.
Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation:
- Given to young-adult survivors of childhood cancer.
- They must have had a cancer diagnosis before the age of 18.
- Also they have been treated in the state of Hawaii.
Michael A. Hunter Memorial Scholarship:
- Recognizes ten children aged 8-15.
- They perform acts of kindness and volunteerism in their communities.
- The grand prize is $20,000 and the other winners receive $2,500.
Stephen T. Marchello Scholarship Foundation:
- Gives college scholarships of up to $2,500 per year for four years to high school graduates.
- For cancer survivors students.
- Restricted to survivors from Colorado and Montana.
The Maryland Community Cancer Scholarship:
- Provides a $2,500 scholarship to college.
- For students who were diagnosed with cancer or who have lost a parent to cancer or whose parent is currently with cancer.
- The diagnosis must have occurred when the applicant was between 15 and 35 years old.
- For 35 years old students or younger at the time of application.
- They must be Maryland residents and attending or planning to go to a public 2-year or 4-year college or university or vocational program inside Maryland.
- Would be required to complete 25 hours of community service.
- Scholarships are based on financial need, medical hardship and dedication to community service, leadership, commitment to the Maryland community, commitment to educational and professional goals, and a demonstration of how the applicant has used their experience to impact the lives of adults with cancer.
The Ryan Mullaly Second Chance Fund:
- Offers a $1,000 scholarship for cancer survivors.
- For US citizens or permanent residents.
- They must have been diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 13 and 20, and currently be age 25 or younger.
- Priority is given to students still undergoing treatment, a significant treatment history, substantial post-treatment side effects, and beginners students in their college education
National Collegiate Cancer Foundation:
- Gives a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship for college.
- For those students whose lives have been impacted by cancer and who are seeking to continue their higher education while still undergoing treatment.
- For applicants between 17 and 27 years old.
- Selected on the basis of financial need, essay, recommendations, cancer story, and good attitude.
Patient Advocate Foundation:
- Awards eight scholarships of $5,000 per year.
- Given to cancer survivors to initiate or complete a course of study that has been interrupted or delayed.
- Necessary to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Required to complete 20 hours of community service during the school year.
Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States:
- Given for people who have been diagnosed with a childhood brain.
- It may include a diagnosis of a spinal cord tumor.
Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation:
- Gives $5,000 and honorable mentions of $1,000 to young cancer survivors under the age of 21.
- Must be necessary an essay competition.
Special Love, Inc.:
- Offers college scholarships of $1,000 to $2,250 to cancer survivors and students with cancer.
- No matter if they are currently receiving treatment or not.
The Susan Fund, Inc.:
- For Fairfield County residents.
- People have been diagnosed with cancer
Ashley Tamburri Scholarship:
- Awards to high school seniors.
- For students who are cancer survivors or currently diagnosed with cancer.
- They must be attending high school in a county served by the Foundation.
- There is no need to be receiving treatment to qualify.
- The cancer may be in remission or deemed cured.
- Not based upon financial need or scholastic ability.
- Awarded to the applicant who most exemplifies the life values and career goals of Ashley Tamburri.
- Also counts for those who desires to use their cancer experience to help others.
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation:
- Gives five scholarships of up to $10,000 each year.
- For graduate high school seniors and current college students.
- Necessary to be 25 years old or younger and have lost a parent to breast cancer.
- Must have a college GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- Have to plan to attend a state college or university in the state where they reside.
- Need to be US citizens or permanent residents.
PinkRose Foundation:
- Provides $1,000 scholarships for college students who have lost a parent or legal guardian to breast cancer.
- Used to help the children on personal growth overcoming the grief caused by breast cancer.
- They must be at least 18 years old and under the age of 25.
- Need to be US citizenship or permanent residency.
- Required to have a high school diploma or equivalent.
